The talk will focus on the pros and cons of various types of capacitors, their shortcomings, and how those shortcomings are typically addressed. 

Bio:

Hedley Davis, BSEE 81, was around for the early computer revolution and did work focusing on systems design, compact disc players, several game consoles, and building infrastructure. He uses a Mac, but he secretly runs Windows. While not debugging why his hardware doesn't work properly, he spends his time camping, flying, and reading.
