Connect with Educators Who Are Doing This Work
This summer, connect with educators passionate about economics and personal finance through collaborative sessions alongside current MAEEE educators. Share ideas, discuss real classroom experiences, and engage in meaningful teacher-to-teacher conversations.
Friday, July 10th - 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Presented by: Brett Burkey, Director of Education at The Florida Council on Economic Education
Marketplace forces exercise endless strategies to undermine our efforts. Our brains must process an infinite array of stimuli and make an endless number of decisions both financial and beyond. To save time and mental energy, it's human nature to rely on heuristics, or short-cuts. These come in the form of cognitive biases like herd mentality, loss aversion, FOMO (fear of missing out), present bias (YOLO), the anchor effect, and the endowment effect.
