Wellness Speaker Series: Woody Roseland
Despite having survived cancer eight times at the cost of losing a leg, Woody Roseland has taken his life back into his own hands – starting companies, athletic competitions, and traveling the world while pursuing his passion for film. Woody will incorporate stand-up comedy to share his story while inspiring students to be their best selves and bring out the best in people. Students will learn the importance of maximizing their potential early in life, the benefits of using creative outlets to cope with life’s challenges, and how to help a friend cope with emotions when dealing with challenges.
Woody will be the keynote speaker for the Campus Wellbeing Collaborative's Mental Health Awareness Week. He is also the final speaker for the Wellness Speaker Series hosted by the Promoters of Wellness. Students who attend will hear inspirational messages about managing the natural highs and lows of life and learn meaningful skills to strive in life, even after college.
Cosponsors include UD Honors Program, Campus Wellbeing Collaborative, UD Career Services Faculty and Staff Innovation Grant, Division of Student Life, and Center for Counseling and Student Development.
This event is FREE and open to the public.
